Alaska is so big, and so wild, that one can spend a lifetime exploring this place and experience but a tiny part of it. For us, that process of never-ending exploration is what keeps us alive...physically, mentally, spiritually. It is why we live here, and it is why we take photographs. Because in the end, after experiencing something wonderful, it is human nature to share it with others. Our goal, then, is to capture the essence of our travels in the wild so that you can experience it too. Welcome to Bennett Images, home of photographers Edward and Georgia Bennett, where we offer fine art photographs and panoramas of the place called Denali...the Great Land.
A couple of years ago, we began custom printing selected images on canvas and stretching them on frames. By continuing the image around the edge of the frame, and adding a wire across the back, the result is an image that doesn't need an external frame or glass...just hang it on the wall! This technique has proven very popular because it's a great value, and because the canvas makes colors vibrant and gives images a unique feeling of depth. Please visit our canvas gallery to see some of the images we've chosen for this technique.
"Alaska on Canvas." That's what we're calling our latest exhibit, currently on display at the Huffman Kaladi Brothers coffee shop, located at 12350 Industry Way. Please drop by any time in June or July to check out our newest images. Big adventure: We will be in ANWR during the last two weeks of June floating the Hulahula River. We'll share images as soon as we can! |
