Adventures in Blogging

After a lot of hours spent learning about widgets, plugins and other minutia, I finally have a basic blog up and running. I picked a theme called “Yoko” because I liked the clean look and the fact that it resizes itself depending on what device you’re using — a phone, a pad or a PC. The image is from a five-day trip I took in May across Prince William Sound. I was standing on a small bluff overlooking Columbia Bay, full of icebergs from the nearby glacier of the same name, when my fellow photographer John DeLapp walked into the frame and started taking pictures, silhouetted by the setting sun. I figured it illustrated perfectly the concept of this blog: Adventures in Alaska Photography. A slide show of the trip is (hopefully) inserted below.
