As anyone knows who has tried to take pictures of Alaska’s scenic wonders, it’s hard to convey the grandeur and vastness of the last frontier with a single photograph. Long-time Alaskan Ed Bennett realized years ago that panoramas were a solution to this problem, but only recently has technology advanced to the point where digital panoramas can rival -- or exceed -- traditional film techniques. What was once a novelty has now become art. Each panorama is custom printed using archival inks and paper. The result is an image with incredible detail. Most people's first reaction when they see them is to remark on how clear the images are, and then lean in for a closer look. The panoramas are generally 10-12 inches high and about three feet wide, printed on 13 inch wide gloss paper.
