Bennett Images: Alaska Photography, Fine Art Printing and Graphic Design Alaska is so big, and so wild, that one can spend a lifetime exploring this place and experience but a tiny part of it. For us, that process of never-ending exploration is what keeps us alive...physically, mentally, spiritually. It is why we live here, and it is why we take photographs. And in the end, after experiencing something wonderful, it is human nature to share it with others. Our goal, then, is to capture the essence of our travels in the wild so that you can experience it too. Welcome to Bennett Images, home of photographers Edward and Georgia Bennett, where we specialize in Alaska photography, fine art printing and graphic design services. Recent Adventures We've spent the last five years floating rivers in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (and plan another trip in August). You can see those images in the Hulahula River and Exploring the Arctic galleries. Some of our most popular images come from our trip to the village of Kaktovik, where local guide Robert Thompson took us to the barrier island to photograph polar bears waiting for freeze-up. And when the weather cooperates, (and even when it doesn't) there's no place on earth like Prince William Sound. David Janka, owner of the research vessel Auklet, took us across the Sound last spring. Fine Art Printing We've been printing our own photographs for about 10 years, gradually working up to larger printers as our business grew. We've always prided ourselves on the quality of our prints, and in recent years other photographers and artists have begun to ask us to print their images. We are now pleased to announce that we can print professional-quality images on paper up to 44 inches wide, and can produce stretched canvases up to 60 inches long. With a high-resolution original file, the impact of a large-format print is, in a word, stunning. To learn more, please go to our Services page. Of course, we continue to offer our own work on stretched canvas. This technique has proven very popular because it's a great value (they're ready to hang with no additional framing), and because the canvas makes colors vibrant and gives images a unique feeling of depth. Please visit our custom canvas galleries to see the images we've chosen for this technique. |
